STAR Clarence footballer Cameron Thurley faces a long road to recovery, with at least another week to be spent in intensive care.
Mr Thurley's father John has maintained constant support for his son, who remains in an induced coma at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
The ex-Geelong and North Melbourne player was critically injured falling down stairs at a Hobart nightclub last weekend after the club's best and fairest count.
``He's critical but stable in the induced coma, it could be a week or two weeks yet,'' Mr Thurley said.
``It's going to be a long road but I think he's getting better. The doctors don't know but I know he'll be right.''
