TASWATER today announced it would spend $1.1 million on odour improvement at its Ti Tree Bend sewage treatment plant.
The project would see iron salt added to the sewage treatment process to reduce the build-up of odorous gas.
Construction is expected to start in the next few weeks for completion in February.
TasWater chief executive Michael Brewster said the corporation was investing more than $100 million this financial year with $40 million of that on Northern projects.
