THE era between 1950 and 1960 will be celebrated at Longford on Sunday with the fifth Rock n Rodz event.
Music, cars, fashion and culture from that period forms an annual family fun day that supports Camp Quality.
Co-organiser Dave O'Keefe said five Tasmanian and interstate rockabilly and rock`n'roll bands would perform all day for people to dance along to, while the children can take part in several activities on offer.
"There will be cars from the early 1900s right up until 1969 so any that were manufactured in that 70-year period will be on display," Mr O'Keefe said.
"We do invite all people to dress in the '50s and '60s attire and we will have a fashion competition on the day with some good prizes on offer.
"All the profits go to camp quality and so far we have donated $56,000 to them."
Mr O'Keefe said there would be a special exhibition to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the EH Holden.
The event will be held at the Longford Football Club from 9am to 4pm.
