A JOINT effort had the Stebbings family vehicle kitted out for Ethan's wheelchair.
The fast-growing seven-year-old was the recipient of funds from Kings Meadows and Riverside Lions clubs, the Australian Lions Foundation and Youngtown Rotary to help equip the family's new car.
Mum Kathryn said she previously lifted Ethan in and out of the family wagon manually, a job made easier with the addition of a ramp.
"Ethan's getting heavier and he had some hip surgery at the end of last year," Mrs Stebbings said.
"We purchased the vehicle and these lovely people have funded the conversion."
Kings Meadows Lions Club president Judi Gorham said the groups simply wanted to help the family.
Australian Lions Foundation state trustee David Triffett said the job could not have been done with one person - or group - alone.
"People are struggling these days and with young families we need to be out there and ready to assist people," he said.
