Police have seized a number of registered, unregistered and prohibited firearms from a 48-year-old man's home.
A tip-off from a member of the public saw police uncover 22 unregistered guns and five prohibited guns, as well as ammunition, fireworks and suspected stolen property from the house in Renfrew Circle at Goodwood yesterday.
Twenty-three registered firearms, which were stored correctly, were also seized.
The man has been charged with a number of offences including possess prohibited firearms, possess ex-military firearms and light ordnance and fail to comply with storage requirements.
He will appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court next month.
Investigations will continue into where the prohibited guns came from.
