Northern Midlands councillor Ian Goninon, who is claiming Deputy Premier Bryan Green punched him at the AFL grand final, has declined to make any further statements after meeting with his legal team today.
The altercation with Mr Green that occurred at the MCG during Saturday's season decider left Cr Goninon with a bloodied nose.
Before meeting with his solicitors, Cr Goninon told The Examiner he had been experiencing headaches since the struggle and had an appointment with a doctor tomorrow.
Labor MLC Craig Farrell who was sitting next to Mr Green at the match recalled Cr Goninon called Mr Green ''a tosser'' at the start of the match and continued making jibes as the game progressed.
Mr Green is expected to make a statement later this afternoon.
