Hawthorn's premiership heroes are on their way to Launceston after a celebratory pitstop in Hobart this morning.
Hundreds of happy hawks packed Hobart's City Hall to cheer Hawthorn's second Premiership during its Tasmanian sponsorship.
Premiership coach Alastair Clarkson and captain Luke Hodge sang along to a rousing rendition of the team song, flanked by popular players Sam Mitchell, Josh Gibson, Brad Sewell, Jarryd Roughead and Jordan Lewis.
The players enjoyed a Q and A with radio host Dave Noonan, each enjoying a rapturous reception.
Organisers estimated a 2500 strong turnout, totally filling the ground floor of the Hall. Premier Lara Giddings, wearing a Hawks scarf, gave the team three cheers and praised the team's year.
The energy was too much for one young fan, fainting as Josh Gibson took the stage.
Club staff located the girl, Zoe Burke, 12, of Sorell after the presentation was over - and invited her for a picture with captain Luke Hodge.
Miss Burke, under the care of her grandmother, was delighted with the picture and looked to be recovering well.
The players then took the cup back to the airport, ready for their arrival at the Hawks' second home, York Park.
