A 68-year-old man was airlifted to hospital after falling about six metres while rock climbing at Corra Linn yesterday.
Police and emergency services were notified about 2pm yesterday of an injured rock climber on the North Esk River.
The experienced rock climber had fallen about six metres.
Paramedics treated the man at the scene and were assisted by Tasmania Police search and rescue personnel and SES volunteers.
Tha man was winched from the area by the Westpac rescue helicopter and taken to the Launceston General Hospital in a stable condition.
