Police have charged a 41-year-old Hobart man over the armed robbery of a supermarket earlier this month.
The robbery occurred at the Lenah Valley food market on Augusta Road on September 9, when a man threatened the shop keeper with a knife and demanded money.
Detective Senior Sergeant Craig Joel said that police would continue to dedicate all resources into resolving crimes such as this, charging those responsible and allaying community fears.
He also thanked the community for its assistance in providing information that helped find the offender.
The man has been bailed to appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court at a later date.
