Police have revealed that the shooter hid and waited for their victim to step outside before killing him in what police have described as a ''pre-meditated and callous act''.

The information comes as investigations continue into the murder of 44-year-old Simon Crisp at the Marrawah Tavern on July 13.
Detective Inspector Rob Gunton said the motive for the murder was still unknown, but police were not ruling out multiple offenders.
Detective Inspector Gunton said Mr Crisp was helping his partner, who worked at the tavern, to clean up after closing.
It was normal for him to do this.
Her 10-year-old daughter was present as they were to drive to Launceston that night to start a family holiday in Western Australia.
Shortly after midnight, Mr Crisp stepped outside the back of the tavern.
''The offender or offenders have stepped out from the corner of the building where it is believed they were hiding, before shooting Mr Crisp three times, killing him,'' Detective Inspector Gunton said.
''His partner, hearing the shots, phoned 000 and other people.''
Detective Inspector Gunton said it was a pre-meditated attacked that had shocked the small, close-knit community.
He said that members of the community did not need to fear for their safety.
On September 16, police conducted searches of the Marrawah area and seized a number of items as forensic evidence.
''“Investigations to date have identified a line of enquiry involving a group of persons of interest from within the Circular Head area. However investigators continue to assess any new information that is received,'' Detective Inspector Gunton said.
Four detectives continue to investigate the murder.
