About $30,000 damage has been caused to Launceston businesses on the weekend due to vandalism.
Between August 30 and September 2, businesses at Youngtown, Kings Meadows, Prospect, Invermay and the Launceston central business district were targeted.
Police said almost a dozen windows were damaged by a ball bearing or marble being fired at them.
The damage is believed to have happened at night while the businesses were closed, with the offenders most likely travelling in a car.
