Tasmania's export market took another hit in July, according to official figures released this morning.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics' monthly International Trade in Goods and Services figures for July show a 14 per cent decline in exports from Tasmania - down from $221 million in June to $190 million in July.
Since July last year, that figure has fallen 32 per cent - down from $281 million.
Imports also rose - up from $41 million in June to $61 million in July.
Nationally, the country's trade balance dived into the red, posting a deficit of $765 million, compared with a surplus of $243 million in June.
