REPRESENTATIVES for former Gunns chairman John Gay will appear in the Hobart Supreme Court tomorrow for a mention connected to his insider trading conviction.
Gay, 70, was convicted and fined $50,000 last month for recklessly trading $3 million worth of Gunns shares in December 2009 while in possession of inside knowledge.
He pleaded guilty on the morning of his proposed trial and did not receive a custodial sentence.
Gay was on the list to appear for mention before Justice David Porter at the Supreme Court in Hobart this morning, but the mention was put off to tomorrow.
The Examiner understands the mention is to resolve a technical matter and Gay will not be required to attend in person.
