Tasmanian firm Fairbrother Pty Ltd has teamed up with a national construction company for the managing contract of the Royal Hobart Hospital redevelopment.
Health Minister Michelle O'Byrne announced the joint contract between Fairbrother and John Holland today.
Ms O'Byrne said the $586 million project was now scheduled to be completed by June 2017.
Both firms have experience with hospital projects.
Fairbrother is building a $31.1 million integrated cancer centre at the RHH site while John Holland is the managing contractor for a new children's hospital in Perth.
