IF Charlotte Louise Harradine had entered the world on time, dad Patrick would have had to wait another 12 months for his first Father's Day.
Instead, his little mite was born eight weeks premature on July 18.
"We have already had her six weeks, so I get Father's Day now," Mr Harradine, 29, said yesterday ahead of Father's Day tomorrow.
"She was tiny and is still two weeks from her due date."
Mum Emma said her husband was a very proud and hands-on dad and "even changes the nappies".
Father's Day will be spent at their Kings Meadow home as Charlotte is still not allowed to leave home until she gains more weight and gets the all-clear from doctors.
Six weeks ago Charlotte weighed only 1.85 kilograms - now she weighs 2.5kilograms.
Mr Harradine, a St Leonards Primary School groundsman, said he was just happy his little girl was healthy.
"She has done so well. She was so tiny and nothing has gone wrong - we've been lucky I reckon," Mr Harradine said.
"Bathing her and giving her cuddles is amazing."
