Tasmania Police have identified human remains found in Mowbray as belonging to missing man Chitria Khar Bhandari.
The 48-year-old's body was found in bushland by a resident walking his dogs on August 6.
The body was situated about 30 metres from the walking track.
Yesterday police would not reveal the cause of death but said they were not treating it as suspicious.
Mr Bhandari was last seen on November 22 in 2011 in Invermay where he lived.
At the time police received information that Mr Bhandari, who is of Nepalese descent, may have been in bushland areas of Ravenswood or Waverley before his disappearance.
It's believed he died around the time of his disappearance.
Mr Bhandari's family in Nepal have been notified.
