I indeed held a press conference and detailed the federal government's superior NBN policy when compared with the Liberals plan.
For the record, Mr Khan, I do not possess editorial control within the ABC or any other news organisation. Furthermore, I believe in a free press.
I thank the ABC for using my comment regarding the NBN because it is a fair assessment of the Liberals' plan. Only a Labor government understands that we must embrace the best technology, which means delivering 1000 megabits a second internet speeds to premises, through a fibre-optic network.
The Coalition's plan is a lemon because it will cost many Australians $5000 to be connected to fibre and it fails to recognise that we must invest in the best technology once and do it right with fibre, rather than utilise an old and worn-out copper network.
