FINGAL VALLEY will look to get its finals campaign back on track with a victory over St Pats in tomorrow's NTFA division 2 preliminary final at Youngtown.
The country Blues suffered their first loss of the season to the Thistles in the second semi-final last week and need to make the most of their double chance.
But they will find the Saints a tough opponent after successive finals wins over Uni-Mowbray and Evandale.
``They are obviously in good form and we suffered our first loss for the year and we were very flat last week but got beaten by the better side on the day,'' Fingal coach Matthew Lowe said.
``We need to get our act together this week - last week's loss could be a good thing or a bad thing - who knows.
``We've been concentrating on St Pats this week and have a few things in place so fingers crossed everything goes our way.
``We know they are a dangerous side and we will have to be 100 per cent on the ball or we will get beaten again.''
Fingal has injury concerns out of last week's loss with four players missing this week - Lowe declining to name them.
``I don't think the ground matters where it is played - we played there last week and it was in good condition and I think conditions should be good again so both sides should be able to have a fair crack in a good game of footy,'' he said.
ST PATS coach Lenny Towns said his side's confidence had been boosted by two finals victories already - the first for the Saints since 2006.
``We had a corker of a game against them in the second last round on our home ground so we're confident but not overconfident and they've only been beaten once all year,'' he said.
``We've got a bunch of kids who are all enthusiastic and playing some good team footy.''
The Saints should be unchanged for the clash and Towns said conditions would not trouble his side.
``We've played in pretty atrocious conditions the last couple of weeks and it was pretty heavy at Youngtown last week but we'll see how we go up there and we are happy to have the challenge.''
