THERE are 35 more bald heads in Launceston today.
Yesterday, Riverside High School students took to the clippers, shaving off their hair to raise funds for their teacher Rob Lewandowski's bid to raise $10,000 for Cystic Fibrosis Tasmania.
On October 1, Mr Lewandowski will set off on a bike ride from Adelaide to Darwin in a fund-raiser.
Yesterday's effort was one of many along the journey.
Grade 9 student Sarah Goss was the only female student to undertake the shave, shedding her long blonde hair.
"I just wanted to help people and to be honest, my hair was a bit annoying," Sarah, 15, said.
"I wouldn't call it brave, it's just helping people."
Myles Morgan, 14, said he thought what his teacher was undertaking was "pretty great ... and big".
Mr Lewandowski said he was impressed with his students.
"The school has really got behind it, which was really evident today," he said.
