ANOTHER shooting in Launceston has taken place after somebody fired a 12-gauge shotgun into an occupied home.
The third shooting in less than three weeks happened in Tonga Place, Ravenswood, on Wednesday about 11.45pm.
Launceston detectives think it may be drug-related but haven't linked it to a running feud which has seen seven shootings since May.
They said Wednesday's shooting involved one round shot into the window of a home occupied by a man, who was not injured.
"It damaged the window, the guy came out and no one was there," Launceston CIB Detective Inspector Scott Flude said.
"No one saw anything in the street so we don't know if they were on foot or in a car."
Police would like to hear from anyone who saw a vehicle in the street or people acting suspiciously around the time of the incident.
It follows a drive-by shooting in Mowbray on Saturday where several shots were fired at a home in Crawford Street.
Last month an innocent teenager was hit in the leg by a stray bullet after a shooting in the CBD.
A 22-year-old Newnham man has pleaded not guilty to one count of wounding related to the incident.
