CLARIFICATION over exactly what the Better Schools Plan means to each of the major parties is expected to be the hot topic of discussion at a federal education forum in Launceston tomorrow.
The forum is one of three being held around the state that will focus only on education.
Hosted by the Tasmanian State School Parents and Friends and the Tasmanian Principals Association, the forum at Newstead College will feature a combination of Lyons and Bass candidates.
Association president David Raw said he expected funding to be the key issue for those attending but the second would be what was the future of education in the state and how it would evolve over the next 20 years.
"I wouldn't like to think that because we've signed up to the Better Schools Plan, education has gone off the agenda," Mr Raw said.
Candidates so far confirmed to speak include Lyons Labor MHR Dick Adams, Bass Liberal candidate Andrew Nikolic and Bass Greens candidate Lucy Langdon-Lane.
The forum starts at 7pm.
