LAUNCESTON detectives have doorknocked residents after a drive-by shooting at Mowbray.
No one was injured during the incident on Saturday, but a Crawford Street house sustained minor gunshot damage.
Residents heard gunshots about 11pm on Saturday.
Detective Constable Jason Bolton, of Northern Criminal Investigation Branch, said witnesses saw a dark-coloured four- wheel-drive speed off after the gunshots.
The vehicle headed towards Conway Street and Heritage Forest.
Police recovered shotgun cartridges in Crawford Street. Investigations are continuing.
Police urge anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800333000 or Launceston police on 63363701.
The incident is the second drive-by shooting in Launceston in less than a fortnight, after an innocent bystander was shot in the leg in the central business district on July 29.
