SABLE and Panda the pet ferrets took owner Ashleigh Kendrick for a walk on Charles Street in Launceston yesterday.

Miss Kendrick, a University of Tasmania student, said the pair of ferrets, both less than a year old, liked going for walks on their leads.
But they have a habit of running up her legs and clinging to her clothing when startled by traffic noise.
"It's awesome having ferrets," she said.
"I would never consider having any other sort of pet.
"You can come home feeling like crap and they will jump all over you and give you kisses.
"They are genuinely glad to see you."
