According to Aurora Energy, power outages have hit about 3600 customers in Derwent Park, Goodwood, Moonah and Otago Bay, with a further 1200 customers in Sandy Bay and Lower Sandy Bay.

According to Tasmania Police a number of streets in Hobart have been closed - Sutherland Street between Linear Court and Lampton Avenue due to tin laying across power lines.
Hopkins Street between Main Road and Charles St at Moonah is also closed with the roof on Coogans coming loose. Police say that the SES is on its way.
