10 vehicle pile-up near Prospect

Up to 10 vehicles were involved in a pile-up on the north-bound lane of the Southern Outlet near Prospect this morning.

North-bound traffic was brought to a standstill, police reported, while six of the vehicles had to be towed away.

Police say there were no injuries and they reminded motorists to slow down and drive to the conditions.

- Gravelly Beach Road, Blackwall. Called in at 12.13pm. 2 vehicles.

- Frederick Street, Launceston, Called in at 12.04pm. Rear ender.

- Massey Greene Drive, Havenview. Called in at 11.55am. Truck over bank, no injuries.

- Tasman Highway, Mornington. Called in at 11.48am. Single vehicle.

- Johnston Street, Moonah, Called in at 11.48am. Single vehicle.
