Launceston's Phoebe Purser has scored a record-breaking win in the People's Choice Award for The Examiner Fashions on the Field - 200 votes ahead of the runner-up.
Miss Purser said the win came as a surprise.
After asking for votes on social networks Instagram and Facebook ``once or twice'', Miss Purser finished with an unprecedented 457 votes.
Miss Purser and her mother chose the black, white and red locally-sourced clothing and accessories just a few weeks before the Launceston Cup.
The model hopes to move interstate to pursue her dream of being involved in the fashion industry after finishing a degree in environmental design.
The Examiner's marketing manager Karen Stallard said the response to the awards had been ``overwhelming''.
``It's really interesting to see people interact with our galleries,'' Mrs Stallard said.
Miss Purser was the recipient of $500 cash, while Reader's Choice recipient Chris Love will enjoy a dinner at Josef Chromy Vineyards valued at $160.
