Pianist to reminisce with Launceston concert

SARAH Cabrol-Douat will turn the clock back 10 years tonight.

The former Launceston woman regularly performed piano recitals in her home city's Pilgrim Uniting Church before she moved to Paris, France, in 2003.

Cabrol-Douat said being back in Launceston for a short holiday presented an opportunity she could not pass up.

She will present a recital of works by Haydn, Chopin and Rachmaninoff at the Paterson Street church tonight.

``I love playing in churches, the acoustics and the atmosphere is just fantastic,'' Cabrol-Douat said.

``I used to play here every year for about 10 years and I haven't done it for such a long time, I'm really looking forward to playing here again.''

Cabrol-Douat now plays in Paris as part of a trio and teaches piano.
