CELEBRATIONS started yesterday for the inaugural Party in the Paddock music festival.
The event, which continues until 9am tomorrow, is rocking fans and farmers alike at Burns Creek, about 45 kilometres outside of Launceston near Upper Blessington.
Last night, Tasmanian acts The Embers, Thieves, The Mornings and others signalled the start to the weekend.
Today's attractions will see Sydney's Sticky Fingers and Lovers Jump Creek take to the stage, alongside Tassie acts such as The Stayns, Horehound and Lawless Quartet.
The event has been dedicated to the life and memory of Launceston man Chris Horrocks, who died in Laos on Wednesday.
