The victim of an alleged burglary and bashing at a Newnham hotel has given evidence about the night he was attacked.
The crown has alleged Riverside’s Matthew Wayne Leslie, who pleaded not guilty, is responsible.
Mr Leslie’s defence counsel Mark Doyle said the crown’s case was based solely on DNA, which he said could not tie his client to the assault or the burglary.
The trial continues.
