Bus drivers threaten industrial action

LAUNCESTON looks set to lose its Metro bus service on Thursday as part of statewide industrial action.

A Rail,  Tram and Bus Union official said yesterday  the stop work between 10am and 2pm on Thursday was almost certain to go ahead as drivers did not think they were getting a fair deal from Metro.

Drivers are set to reject a 2 per cent pay rise offer from Metro on Wednesday, with the stop work action the following day.
