The State Government's budget deficit stands at $201.3 million at the half-way mark of the financial year.
Finance Minister Scott Bacon today released the government's 2012-13 December Quarterly Report.
He said the mid-year outcome was "consistent with budget forecasts" in line with the revised full year budget estimate of $326.8 million in deficit.
"The Tasmanian Government remains committed to meeting its fiscal targets and ensuring our finances remain on a sustainable footing into the future," Mr Bacon said.
"As the report only covers expenditure to the end of December, the cost of the recent bushfires, and support programs to help those affected by the fires, is not included in this report.
