Four gold medals to Tassie boxers

Tasmania's ability to produce quality young boxers continued today with four of the state's finest talents winning golden medals in the afternoon session of the Australian boxing titles in Adelaide.

Jordan Percey took gold in the under-15 54kg division, Bailey Seabourne won gold in the under-15 42kg division, Dylan Cochrane won the under-15 36kg title, and up-and-coming female fighter Dakota Gareth won a gold medal in the under-15 52kg division.

In tonight's action, Nick Cooney easily accounted for South Australia's Ryan Goodes 12 points to six in the men's elite 60kg division, Glenn McKeown was beaten by Shaun Schaaf of South Australia, Luke Woods continued his fine form, beating Victoria's Jake Perrins 10 points to six in the elite 64kg division elimination bout, while Dylan Hardy had a very comfortable win over South Australia's Tim Parker 16 points to 7 in the men's elite 81kg.
