TASMANIA'S best under-15 cricketers have been honing their skills in Launceston this week before a tilt at the national championships in Perth later this month.
Cricket Tasmania Northern manager Clinton Reid, who will be coaching the team with Ben Smith, said the squad was looking sharp at its NTCA Ground training sessions.
"We think we've got a pretty good team and a good representation of boys from all around the state," Reid said.
This includes promising Scotch Oakburn trio all-rounder Fletcher Seymour, wicketkeeper batsman Ben Darke and left-arm opening bowler Lachlan Edmunds.
"Traditionally we've found it quite tough," Reid said.
"It is a development team so we have one eye on the future years, but in the past we've been able to finish third at these titles and we will be hoping for more success this year."
