THE Tasmanian single-barrel clay target shooting championship was won by Queensland shooter Bruce Powell yesterday with an excellent score of 90/90 from Victorian Craig Fitzgerald on 89/90.
The minor grades at the Evandale event saw good scores posted in this tough discipline where only one cartridge can be loaded in the firearm for each shot.
The Tasmanian double-barrel championship was a gruelling 300 target shootoff after 30 competitors shot the possible score of 50/50. The overall winner was Tasmanian Nick Brown on 300/300.
