Step closer to dance dream

A LAUNCESTON dancer hopes to perform with music stars after being accepted by former So You Think You Can Dance  judge Jason Coleman to train at his school.

Hannah-Lee Knowles, 17, of Blackstone Heights, left last Thursday  for a two-year stint in Melbourne at Jason Coleman's Ministry of Dance academy.

Hannah-Lee said Coleman held a dance tutorial in Launceston at Dance Academy 34 and agreed to let her audition for his school.

``Ever since I was little I have wanted to be a professional dancer, and dance for famous singers and hopefully be in a dance movie,'' Hannah-Lee said.

``I just love dancing, I can express my feelings through it [and] I really admire [Jason] he is a very inspirational dancer.''

She said she was also inspired by former So You Think You Can Dance  contestant Timomatic, Kyla Bartholomeusz who dances for Australian pop singer Ricki-Lee, and her dance teacher Natasha Green.
