THE Tasmania Westpac Rescue Helicopter has performed rescues at the Franklin River and East Coast this morning.
At Freycinet National Park, the helicopter picked up a male walker who became disoriented after reaching the summit of Mt Amos.
Police walked to the area, but could not reach the man due to the steep terrain, so the helicopter flew to the area and found the man on the Western side of the mountain.
The man, who was not injured, was winched from the remote area and transported to Coles Bay.
The helicopter was also called out to the Franklin River to rescue a 21-year-old woman with a suspected broken ankle.
The woman was part of a 10-day rafting trip when she was injured. She was transported to Hobart in a stable condition.
