GEORGE Town will host South Launceston in the grand final of the Greater Northern Cup one-day competition at Crothers Oval tomorrow.
Both qualified for the final after finishing the preliminary rounds against Cricket North West clubs in third and fourth position and beating the top two teams, Westbury and Mowbray, in semi-final upsets.
George Town captain Marshall Pooley said the home ground advantage was a big factor in his side's favour.
``We've been playing some good cricket down there and it's suited our game a fair bit,'' Pooley said.
``We lost to them last week but we can take a bit out of it because a couple of our guys under-performed and we were missing a couple of our bowlers.''
Strike bowler Gabe Bell is expected to make his return after playing with the Tasmanian under-19 side in the national championships in Adelaide.
``He has improved a lot this year and has been one of our best bowlers all year and we're confident our batsman can do the job,'' Pooley said.
South Launceston captain Sean Harris said his side would go into the game with some good form behind it.
``Our performances leading up to Christmas and last week have been a bit more consistent and we managed to get a win over George Town last week in a pretty competitive game,'' Harris said.
``That was at our home ground though and we haven't played at Crothers Oval this season so that's probably the only unknown for us.
``We're not sure how the wicket has been playing and how many runs have been scored down there.
``George Town had some dangerous players in its line-up who didn't fire last week and we'll have to be mindful of those guys and do what we can.''
South will be without Casey Young and Mackenzie Barker who are both overseas.
Cody Weedon and Dean Hawkins come in as replacements.
