TASMANIA Golf Club player Mark Schulze had double cause for celebration yesterday, making a clean sweep of the 2013 Morcom Cup and Champion of Champions titles at the Devonport Golf Club.
Schulze finished on top of the leaderboard in the 54-hole Morcom Cup with a total of 212, with clubmate Nathan Gatehouse runner-up one shot behind.
Devonport's Ben Perkovic was third on 215.
Schulze also won the 36-hole Champion of Champions tournament contested by club champions from across the state with a total of 140.
Gatehouse again finished runner-up to Schulze on 142, with defending champion Perkovic third on 143.
The Morcom Cup net winner was Riverside's Zac Swan on 213, with clubmate Alex Grove runner-up on 215.
``It wasn't as windy today and was a lot better with good conditions on the greens and the course,'' Devonport Golf Club captain Scott Read said.
A total of 53 golfers teed off yesterday in the Champion of Champions tournament.
