The small bushfire at Bridport Road, Curries River, has been upgraded to a watch and act alert.
Northern Fire Region public information officer Michael Watkins said the fire had been burning in the Tippogoree Reserve, but spread on to farm land this afternoon.
Mr Watkins said a house near the corner of Bridport and Dalrymple roads could be impacted by the fire in half an hour.
The Tasmanian Fire Service says the fire danger rating in this area is forecast to be high and fire under these conditions can be difficult to control .
This bushfire is currently not controlled.
There may be embers, smoke and ash falling on Dalrymple Road and Bridport Road .
There are no reported road closures.
