UPDATED 5.10pm: Vehicles stranded at Nubeena and Port Arthur after the bushfires can be collected today in a bus convoy organised by Tasmania Police.
Those who want to collect cars should register for a spot on the bus with police by 1pm by calling 62654955 or by registering at Sorell Police Station.
Police said only one driver may be transported on the bus and must be confident that their vehicle has sufficient fuel.
Drivers must join the return convoy to be escorted back to Sorell, and cannot return to properties on the Tasman Peninsula.
Once registered on the above number, drivers should meet at 5.30pm the Sorell Police.
Another convey will take place tomorrow, with registrations now being taken.
The bus is scheduled to leave Sorell Police Station at 9am.
People wanting to take part must arrive and register by 8:30am.
