Tasmania Police have confirmed it is not possible for people to return to their properties by joining a convoy to the Tasman Peninsula.
They have also quashed reports that people were allowed to travel to Dunalley if they wanted to join a clean-up operation.
In a statement this morning, Tasmania Police said they fully understood the frustrations of property owners who have been unable to return to their homes
Return to residences that are intact will be subject to safety clearance by search teams and under certain circumstances.
