3.41PM UPDATE: A large bushfire in Mathinna has been downgraded to a watch and act, with the Tasmania Fire Service warning that it may affect the Mathinna area within the next two to five hours.
Residents are still asked to activate their bushfire plans now.
If residents don't have a plan, or their plan is to leave, they are advised leave now - but only if the path is clear.
EARLIER: The Tasmania Fire Service has issued an emergency warning for a large bushfire at Mathinna in the state's North East.
The Bull Bottom fire is expected to put the Mathinna area at very high risk within the next hour.
According to the fire service, it is likely too late to leave the area. Residents are asked to activate their bushfire plans now.
