AURORA Energy says the number of power outages in the state has stayed fairly stable during the past 24 hours with around 9700 customers losing power, but the situation could deteriorate this afternoon.
An Aurora spokeswoman said with the fire situation worsening on the East Coast, more outages are expected.
Reconnecting power is expected to take some time, as many assets are still in fire zones and not accessible.
