Pacer's win helps half-sister's chances of selling at sales

Tomorrow's Tasmanian Premier Yearling Sales have been given a boost by the brilliant win of pacer Lombo Navigator at Gloucester Park.

A half-sister to Lombo Navigator will go under the hammer at the sale, which starts at the Inveresk Showground at 4pm.

Lombo Navigator clocked a career best one minute, 53.3 seconds in his win in the Village Kid Sprint consolation.

His half-sister by Shadow Play will head the draft of seven yearlings from Lyndon and Gail Menegon's Big Park Stud at Karoola.

The catalogue also features relations to Tasmanian classic winners such as Gedlee, Idengood Time, Ess Kay Precious, Bonny Lena, Posh Art, El Jays Belle and Daisy Adele.

Top sires represented tomorrow include Bettors Delight, Live Or Die, Courage Under Fire and Grinfromeartoear and the newcomers Shadow Play, Major In Art, Tiz A Masterpiece and Kenneth J.

All yearlings presented for sale are eligible for a $2000 first-win bonus anywhere in Australia. They can also pick up a $1000 bonus by winning one of the Tasmanian yearling sale classic races for two- and three-year-olds. They are also eligible for Tasbred, Vicbred, Breeders Crown, NSW Breeders Challenge and the SA Southern Cross races.

A parade of yearlings will be held at 2pm.
