Tasmanian paceman Jackson Bird will get another chance to wear the Baggy Green after being named in the XI for the third Test against Sri Lanka at the SCG, which starts tomorrow.
Bird, who took 2-32 and 2-29 in his Boxing Debut, was originally expected to drop out of the team for Victorian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell.
But a greener than expected SCG wicket has seen the off-spinning Maxwell named 12th man, with quicks Bird, Mitchell Johnson, Mitchell Starc and Peter Siddle to partner Nathan Lyon in the attack.
Skipper Michael Clarke has been declared fit to play after battling hamstring issues since the first Test in Hobart.
The Test will be the last for retiring batsman Mike Hussey.
