The Australia Day weekend will provide plenty of musical entertainment with the Summer Break Outdoor Party next month.
RNB-hip-hop DJ M-Phazes, ex-Hobartian up-and-coming trip-hop duo Alta, Melbourne's Airwolf and 360's touring DJ Mat Cant will be among the acts to hit the stage at the Launceston Rugby Club event.
Summer Break organisers Ryan Farrington and Nicholas Sotiriou said the party was designed to promote events in Launceston.
"If you want to go to something like this, you have to go to Hobart or Melbourne - there's nothing like it in Launceston," Mr Sotiriou said.
"There is the Breath of Life festival, but this is different - it's designed to be a chilled-out summer party."
Mr Farrington said he hand- picked the acts for the show.
"All of the guys coming down I've seen live - they're dudes that I enjoy and that I know can perform, and I want to share that with people here," he said.
"It's going to be a licensed outdoor event - we're fencing off an area outside the club. We'll have security and a bar and catering inside."
The event will run from 3pm to 10pm and an after-party with a mystery act will be held at Alchemy Bar.
Capacity for the party is limited and tickets go on sale from January 17.
