Tasmania's unemployment rate has remained steady at 6.8 per cent in trend terms in November, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

The number of people employed in Tasmania was also steady at 233,600, although the number of people unemployed did rise by 100 to 17,100 people, the ABS said.
The participation rate was also steady at 60.4 per cent.
Nationally, the unemployment rate fell to 5.2 per cent for the month in seasonally adjusted terms, down from 5.4 per cent in October.
