WE must strongly object to the holiday makers free camping in the George Town RSL Club car park. Up to half a dozen mobile homes have spent a couple of days camped in this area. We have a great caravan park with all of the required legal facilities at Low Head that should be used. Surely this is restriction of trade for the operators of the caravan park and the issue should be addressed. The council has done the right thing in banning overnight camping on the Esplanade foreshore. This restriction should be extended to allow the legitimate park operators to survive.
