Seabourne defeated South Australian Mark Glew in a 60-kilogram bout in Sydney on Saturday night.
The tournament included the former world champion Kosta Tszyu's son Nikita on the card.
``It was a pretty big tournament and they had some of the best elite amateur boxers in the world fighting in it,'' dad Alan said.
``He was picked for it after winning a fight in Queenstown the weekend before.''
Jack, 15, and brother Bailey, 13, both have their sights set on the national championships in South Australia early next year.
They have booked their spots in the national titles on February 9, with the possibility of overseas bouts in the World Youth Games a reward if they can win.
``Bailey and Jack both fought in that Queenstown tournament in the 60kg and 40kg categories and they fought two brothers from Hobart in Brad and Ricky Campbell.
``Jack has won five Australian junior titles before but they were all in the Tasmanian Boxing League.
``We have made the change to the Tasmanian Amateur Boxing Association and we want to win the one in February.
``Bailey has also won a silver medal before in the Australian junior titles.''
Seabourne said that Colonial Motor Inn owner Dale Pentland had generously supported both boys.
``We train out of Latrobe but we also train at Youngtown with Graeme George,'' he said.
