7:30 AM | CANBERRA Raiders coach Dave Furner has thrown his full support behind the NRL’s Community Carnival initiative, touring a 30-man squad through the Riverina yesterday. Speaking from Gundagai, Furner labelled the country visit as an annual highlight on the Raiders’ calendar.
7:30 AM | DARTS continues to grow in Junee with 16 players competiting at the last meeting. Instead of playing for the highest score, prizes were awarded for the highest pegout, with players aiming to end the game with a score above 40 points.

7:00 AM | JUNEE opening bowler Joe Crowder has etched his name in Riverina cricket folklore by pulling off a rare triple hat trick. Playing on Saturday, Crowder took an incredible five wickets in five balls against Gundagai to record only the third known triple hat-trick in cricket history.
6:30 AM | JUNEE captain-coach Damien Willis yesterday described the recruitment of playmaker Nathan McGowan as a “massive plus” for the Diesels. Willis revealed the signing of McGowan this week had solved a pressing problem on the cusp of the start of Junee’s pre-season campaign.

6:00 AM | IMPOSING Test prop Tom Learoyd-Lahrs has declared getting Canberra Raiders in good rhythm will take priority over representative goals this season. Towering at 194 centimetres, Learoyd-Lahrs ignited overwhelming support for his return to the NSW State of Origin squad after a sensational performance for the Indigenous All Stars on Saturday night.
Junee Diesels find new home
